Flynas Airline commences weekly flight operations from Kano

A Saudi-Arabia-based Airline, Flynas has commenced weekly flight operations from Kano to Jeddah as part of effort to enhance bilateral economic ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

The Airline’s Official Agent in Nigeria, Alhaji Umar Kaila disclosed this while speaking with newsmen at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano on Sunday.

He said the airline had already made its first flight on Saturday with Airbus 330 Aircraft, with no fewer than 106 passengers on board.

According to him, the airline had put in place measures on ground to make the operations of the Airline formidable and Sustainable.

“Flynas had debuted Abuja the Federal Capital Territory and that it had resolve to maintain a weekly airlift of intending passengers to the Holy land as part of bilateral agreement entered into between Nigeria and Saudi-Arabia, “he said.

Kaila said the airline had planned to expand its scope of operations in the near future after realizing the fact that it had made an appreciable impact.

He noted that with the bilateral business ties the airline entered into with the Nigerian government, the stage had been set for a robust and sustainable Air services in the country.

Kaila, who is the Managing Director of Planet Air Services said that the Management of the Airline had chosen Kano and Abuja as take off point considering the strategic importance of Abuja as the Capital of the nation and Kano being a cosmopolitan city with sprawling business.

“Our Aircraft had just arrived at exactly 2.15am,Saturday and left the Aminu Kano International Airport at exactly 4.00pm the same day with about 106 passengers.

“We have observed with considerable optimism that in the near future we are going to expand the scope of our operations,” he said.

The Director, business support of Flynas, Mr. Khalid Aldin said the airline had on its fleet over 30 Aircraft currently in operations across the world.

He said the airline started operations in Nigeria in 2014 and had recorded a huge success to the satisfaction of its passengers.
