The decaying corpse of kidnapped Rev. Father, John Adeyi, the vicar general of the Otukpo catholic Diocese kidnapped two months ago by unknown gunmen was Wednesday found in Otukpa, Benue State.
Sources said police and villagers besieged the back of Local Government secretariat where the body was dumped by his suspected abductors.
Father Adeyi was never released despite the payment of N2 million as ransom.
He was also never found despite that the Benue State Government made an offer of N5 Million to anyone who could supply information on his whereabouts until his body was discovered at the back of the LGA Secretariat at Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area.
Police public relation officer, ASP Moses Yamo confirmed the story, saying police would do everything possible to bring the perpetrators to book.
