The management of MTN has pledged to continue to work with the leadership of the University of Lagos, UNILAG to support more developmental projects and roll-out more network infrastructure on the campus to improve network coverage.

The Chief Operating Officer of MTN, Muhammad Zia Siddiqui, stated this when he led other MTN executives to pay a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the UNILAD, Prof. Rahamon Bello, who had asked MTN to support the infrastructural development of the university as well as improve network coverage on campus.

Siddiqui said his pledge was apart from the fully equipped e-library which the MTN Foundation donated to the university many years ago and the fact that many past and present students of the university are beneficiaries of the MTN Foundation’s Science and Technology Scholarship scheme.

As part of MTN’s commitment towards the delivery of excellent customer experience, after the courtesy visit, Siddiqui, leading other MTN executives like the Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Lynda Saint-Nwafor; Customer Relations Executive, Ugonwa Nwoye and others had a FOCUS session with the students.

The session afforded the management team to have a first-hand feedback on their interactions with MTN products and services, and determine the best suited products and identify areas for improvement among others.

The students highlighted some of the challenges they have on the MTN network, and Siddiqui promised to resolve the issues; and in the warm interaction that followed, many students smiled home with gifts from MTN like phones, free data bundles, free airtime, fans and others.
