A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos has been stabbed to death by unknown men inside the party secretariat at the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State.
Eyewitnesses said the deceased, David Daramola, 40, was stabbed minutes after he walked into the party secretariat to collect his Sallah gift inside the secretariat located at K Close, 3rd Avenue, Festac area of the metropolis.
Sources said that the late Daramola was in the midst of other party members when he was murdered.
The killers, three of them, according to witnesses, came around 1:12pm on a motorbike and rode into the secretariat where he was discussing with other party men, shouting: “Where’s the money?”
Another eyewitness said that “Daramola was with his friends when the three men on motorbike rode into the compound and started shouting where the money is?
“Where is the money? Those that were with him ran away, but the three men surrounded him. They gave a deep cut on his chest and thigh.”
The victim was rushed to the Amuwo Odofin Council Primary Health Centre, but he was rejected and referred to another hospital due to the seriousness of his wounds. He however died on the way to the hospital.
Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, who confirmed the incident, however said that nobody had been arrested yet in connection with the murder of the politician.
