The former House of Representatives member, Dino Melaiye has won the Kogi West senatorial district seat election.
Melaye of the All Progressives Congress defeated the incumbent, Smart Adeyemi of the Peoples Democratic Party, with 41, 120 votes against Adeyemi’s 38,148 votes.
The Returning Officer, Ahmed Adaji announced the result at the end if the collation exercise.
Similarly, Abdulrahman Abubakar of APC clinches Kogi East Senatorial seat with 98,915 votes as against PDP Doko Arome’s 88994 votes.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Egwu of PDP wins Idah Federal constituency of Kogi state, polling 35,408 votes to defeat APC’s 33,622.
