An explosion has just been reported at the School of Hygiene, Kano, according to sources and confirmed by the State police spokesperson, Magaji Majiya. The blast was believed to have been from an explosive device, though no immediate confirmation is available at press time.
Magaji told our correspondent in a telephone conversation that the state’s Commissioner of Police and other officers were already on their way to the scene of the blast, adding that the affected area has been cordoned off.
