The private home of Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, was engulfed by a midday fire this Thursday.
Though the cause of the inferno was not immediately known as at press time, sources said that the quick intervention of men of the state fire service and security operatives guarding the premises prevented it from wrecking serious havoc.
The governor himself was away in Abuja when the incident occurred.
