Olokor, Punch reporter loses sister

A Senior Nursing Officer at the Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, Catherine Obere Adigi is dead.

Although the details were still sketchy, the deceased, an indigene of Abavo Central in Ika South Local Government Area in Delta State, died on Friday June 8 2018, at the UDUTH, Sokoto.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Adigi, children, mother, sisters and brothers, including a senior Journalist and Plateau State correspondent of THE PUNCH Newspapers, Friday Olokor.

The deceased would be laid to rest on Saturday June 23 2018 at Abavo Central, Ika South LGA, Delta State.

Olokor in a special tribute to her, described his immediate elder sister as “a rare breed whose exit has thrown the family into mourning, leaving behind a very wide vacuum; a part of me is gone.”

He said, “Nature has lavished on you a beauty that dazzles the eyes and moves the hearts. Before your death on Friday June 8 2018, you demonstrated uncommon love for the family, selflessness and fear for God. Nothing pains like the death of ones immediate elder sister.

“My ally, friend, sister and everything, Mrs. CATHERINE ADIGI (popularly known as OBERE), was great scion and tendon of the OLOKOR DYNASTY in Abavo Central, Ika South LGA of Delta State. At the Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, where you were a Senior Nursing Officer/Midwife, three have been outpouring of tributes.

“My prayer is that you find eternal rest in heaven. And it shall be so in Jesus Name, Amen…Adieu sister, Rest in peace till we meet to part no more IJN Amen.”
