For failing to full comply with tax laws of Osun State, major telecommunications players, MTN, Etisalat and Airtel may have their offices shut down soon if the Osun State House of Assembly carried out its threat to move against them.

Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Honourable Rasheed Afolabi made this disclosure on Thursday following the failure of the telecommunication companies to honour the summon of the House of Assembly.

The House of Assembly had issued a summon to all telecommunications companies operating in the state to appear before it to give an account of their level of compliance with tax payment in the state, but was irked by the fact that only Globacom honoured its invitation.

Also invited alongside the telecommunications companies were all the private tertiary institutions to sort out the problem of timely and full compliance with taxes that should accrue to the state government.
