Qudriyyah leader, Sheikh Kabara tasks NASFAT on unity, religious tolerance

The Spiritual leader of Qadiriyyah Islamic group in Nigeria and West Africa Sheikh Qaribullah Nasir Kabara has tasked the leadership of Nasrul Lahi l Fatih Society, NASFAT on the need to forge unity among the Muslim Ummah not only in the South west but also across the country.

Sheikh Kabara, a frontline Islamic preacher based in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria was a guest lecturer at the weekly Asalatu of NASFAT at its Headquarters, Alausa Ikeja over the weekend.

Speaking further Sheikh Kabara enjoined Muslims to constantly exercise restraint in their day to day encounter with members of other faiths even when provoked. He reminded the congregation that there can development and progress in the federation only in the atmosphere of peace, mutual respect and understanding.

The highly revered cleric’s visit coincided with the 23rd anniversary of NASFAT for which he expressed delight at the achievements made by the Society in the area of Dawah , empowerment programmes as well as as educational pursuits for its members and other muslims.

Following his commendation, it was prayer galore for the Society and its teeming members across the globe as well as other stakeholders present.

In an interview, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam AbdulAzeez Onike Maroof expressed his satisfaction at the new frontiers of cooperation, unity and love being established by the visit .

He therefore thanked Sheikh Kabara for honoring the invitation and expressed optimism in greater cooperation by all the stakeholders across the various geopolitical divides.

According to Imam Onike, the visit of Sheikh Kabara is a practical demonstration of bridge building in Islam.

The congregation at the special lecture was unprecedented as NASFAT members were joined by members of Quadriyyah in Lagos as well as teeming Hausa enthusiasts of the great cleric.
