Senator Magnus Abe, senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, has congratulated Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) on his election as the new Chairman of the Association of Africa Maritime Administrators (AAMA).
A statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, stated that he (Abe) was elated to hear that Peterside has been elected AAMA’s Chairman at the end of the Association’s third annual conference in Abuja, that will run for one year period and that he has no doubt that he has all it takes to lead the maritime association.
He said Dr. Peterside while he was a commissioner in Rivers State when he was Secretary to State Government (SSG), displayed leadership qualities, enterprising nature and diligence.
Furthermore, he said he has no doubt that these qualities would help him to give the maritime association the focus it deserves in Africa.
The statement stated that on behalf of Abe’s family, he congratulated Dr. Peterside for his election that was well deserved.
