Campaign posters announcing Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State’s interest in the 2015 election, have flooded Bauchi, the state capital.

The posters were printed on Yuguda’s behalf by a group known as National Concerned Professionals, NCP.
Chairman of the group, Dr Mohammed Chindo, told newsmen that the NCP decided to come out to canvass for Yuguda’s presidency because they believed that he had performed well as governor, hence the most suitable for the job in 2015.

He said: “We are a body of professionals with membership scattered all over the country and working for the endorsement of Yuguda for the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

”Yuguda is a person of exemplary character and a charismatic leader you can trust to deliver. We have seen how he has transformed the state from where it used to be.

”The governor has touched the lives of the common men in the state with his people oriented policies. We used to know how the standard of living of the people was in this state before he came on board. Today Bauchi has been transformed in terms of human empowerment, health, education and transportation among others.”

On the report that Yuguda is eying Bauchi South Senatorial District, Chindo said they, as professionals, believe that it was better for him to contest and lose the presidential bid than win as a senator, adding that the senatorial seat was too small for the calibre of people like Yuguda.
