The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the February 2015 general election is leading other contestants in an opinion polls conducted to rate the popularity of candidates ahead of the polls.

The polls conducted by Mega City Foundation, one of the leading polling agencies put Ambode in clear lead.

In the poll released by Mega City Foundation, the APC and its candidate were projected to be leading by as much as 82 percent in terms of voters support.

Jimi Agbaje, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was accredited with 14 percent of the votes according to the polling report made available to the press.

The poll is a clear indication that the choice of Lagos voters in the next governorship race is Akinwunmi Ambode.

“Akinwunmi Ambode remains (the) main voting choice. Voting choice for Agbaje declined by two percent and seem not to pose a threat to the Ambode’s chances of election as he remains firmly ahead of the race,” MF said in its report.
