An early morning explosion has rocked Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Borno State, especially Maiduguri, the capital, has been the ground for strikes by the Boko Haram sect.

This has been more so since the sect was flushed out of its headquarters in Camp Zero, Sambisa Forest.

Suicide bombers, especially female, have been used to carry out the bombings.
