Agagu’s son, Feyi survives as Falae’s son, 12 others die in plane crash

The son of the late Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo State, Feyi, Thursday survived the Associated Airlines plane  crash that killed about 15 others, including the son of Chief Olu Falae, Deji, who is the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism as well as the chief executive of MIC Casket, Tunji Okusanya among others.

The 20-searer chartered aircraft which also contained the remains of the late Agagu crashed at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammad Airport (MMA2) in Lagos, shortly after take off.

Feyi was said to have sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and he is believed to be among the survivors that had been taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for medical attention.

A member of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s  family  whose name could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report was said to have died  in the crash.

The management of the Federal Airports Authority  of  Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed that  20 passengers  were   on board  the  Associated Airlines plane  that crashed  in Lagos.

FAAN’s spokesman, Yakubu Datti  told our correspondent that 15  of the passengers were confirmed dead, while five  passengers sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, the casket containing the body of the  late Agagu has been recovered and taken to the Airforce Base, Ikeja.
