Fresh reports coming in indicates that a suicide bomber in the early hours of today(Tuesday) strikes in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, killing five persons, with more than 20 other victims injured.
The Director of Media and Publicity to Yobe State Governor, Abdullahi Bego confirmed that the dead have been evacuated to mortuary while the injured victims are currently being attended to by health and emergency workers.
Meanwhile, security personnel have cordoned the area.
