Buhari’s anti corruption fight good for Nigeria, says N-Delta group

The National Executive Council of the Indigenous People of Niger Delta, IPND, has called on patriotic and good citizens of Nigeria to keep supporting President Muhammadu Buhari to fight corruption for the overall interests and good of the country.

President General of IPND, Hon. Tiemo B. Pumokumo, in a statement issued in Abuja, also reassured the Indigenous People of Niger Delta that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government is committed and working assiduously toward actualizing the yearnings and wishes of the Niger Delta region.

The group further commended the present administration for embarking on major projects within the Niger Delta region, the second Niger bridge, Maritime University, Okerenkoko, East West Road extension, Bridge linking Bonny Island and Ogoni, Rivers state/ Enugu road, the already approved EPZ project in Delta state to create massive employments in the region and the Ogoni environmental remediation project.

“We must put aside our personal interest, politics of bitterness and realise that our country Nigeria is passing through challenges, and it is very obvious that President Buhari has a good heart and meant well for the nation, we should support and encourage the President to continue his fight against corruption and deliver on his campaign promises”.

“The killings in this country has been on for many years now, it is time for us to unite and stop playing politics with the lives of fellow Nigerians. We believe in the determination of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to end the loss of lives in different parts of our country, Nigeria”.

“Nigeria should not be a country that cannot survive without corruption and corrupt practices, we should all together work towards eradicating corruption for the sake and the future of this country, to build a better Nigeria for our children”.
