The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, and a former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako (retd), and his son, Abdulazeez.
Sources said that operatives of the commission arrested Nyako, his son and Ohakim on Tuesday evening.
An operative of the commission, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the two governors and Abdulazeez were being held by the commission for corruption related offences.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, also confirmed the arrest of the two former governors and Nyako’s son, and said that they were billed to appear in court on today.
It was gathered that the trio might be arraigned at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
