A former Governor of Kogi State, Abubakar Audu, has won the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the upcoming governorship election in the state.

Audu emerged in the early hours of Sunday after a not-so-keenly contested election, scoring 1,109 votes to be his closest rival, Yahaya Bello who had 701 votes.

Coming a distant third was a former Senator, Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, who polled 400 votes.
