Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has appointed Modupe Alade as the Secretary to the State Government, as well as Sunday Omosilade as his Special Assistant on Special Duties and Stomach Infrastructure, while Idowu Adelusi will serve as his Chief Press Secretary.

The appointments, which were made public in a statement in Akure on Thursday, came as civil servants in the state called off their two months strike as a mark of honour to the governor.

While Alade was a former Permanent Secretary in the state, Adelusi, a former editor with the Tribune Newspaper, was Fayose’s spokesman during his first term in office between 2003 and 2006.

The appointments came some hours after Fayose took the oath of office in Ado-Ekiti.

The statement issued by Adelusi also named other appointees as Owoseni Ajayi, Special Assistant on Legal Matters, Kayode Oso, Special Assistant on Works and Infrastructure; Sola Owoeye, Special Assistant on Protocol and Sola Olowookere, Personal Assistant to the Governor (Abuja).

Others are Sunday Anifowose, Special Assistant on Special Duties and Stomach Infrastructure; Sunday Omosilade, Special Assistant on Domestic Matters and Lere Olayinka, Special Assistant on Information and Social Media.

The statement said all appointments were with immediate effect.
