FRSC Approves New Promotions

The promotion of eight individuals, including one Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) and seven others to ACM, has been accepted by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

At the conclusion of its meeting, the commission’s board approved the elevation in accordance with a decision made by the FRSC Establishment Committee.

The officer promoted to the rank of DCM, Ann Marja, was to represent the North East following the appointment of the former DCM representing the Zone, Dauda-Ali Biu, as substantive Corps Marshal, according to a statement from the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.

He clarified that Stella Uchegbu, in charge of Special Duties, Tukur Sifawa, the Corps Auditor, and Anthony Oko, in charge of Command and Strategy in the Operation Department, were among those elevated to the rank of ACM.

Others include Pauline Olaye, in charge of Pension and Insurance, Mohammed Kabo, Sector Commander in Yobe, Joel Dagwa, Deputy Commandant, FRSC Command and Staff College, Meshack Jatau, currently enrolled in the Army War College, and Mohammed Kabo, Sector Commander in Yobe.

Mallam Bukhari Bello, the board chairman, expressed his satisfaction with the process’ overall objectivity and transparency.

Bello challenged the promoted officers to recommit themselves and work harder to fulfill the Corps’ corporate objective.

The promotion, according to the commission’s chairman, is an effort to recognize quality, assiduity, and hard work.

The newly promoted officers were also thanked for their outstanding efforts by the Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, who also noted that every promotion entails more responsibility.

Biu advised them to give their all while doing their jobs because the new ranks required greater concentration, attention, commitment, and passion.

To everyone’s delight, he pledged to enhance the Corps’ staff members’ overall welfare.

All employees were urged by the Corps Marshal to behave properly and exert considerable effort in order to fulfill the corporate mandate of the Corps.
