A yet-to-be identified gunmen have beheaded Amina Suleiman, the daughter of the Director General of Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al – Makura’s Campaign Organisation, Musa Illu.
The deceased, who was seven months pregnant, according to sources, was assassinated on Monday in her home in Katsina State.
It was gathered that her husband, Mohammed Suleiman, was on his way to Zaria at the time of the incident.
Illu’s younger brother, Namairo Babai, who spoke with Punch Newspapers in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, said late Amina was found in a pool of blood.
He further explaned that the victm’s head was separated from her body, while a knife protruded from her stomach.
Babai said, “Her husband was on his way to the ABU Zaria when the incident happened. After the weekend when he tried calling, but couldn’t get her, he sent someone to check.
“The person that went to the couple’s apartment later called back and told him that his wife had been slaughtered. Late Amina was killed in her home in faraway Katsina State, when her husband was on his way to Zaria for his doctorate degree programme.”
Babai added that Amina, who got married two years ago, had been buried on Tuesday in her husband’s home town in Katsina State.
