The official website of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was earlier today hacked by an unknown group that identified itself as the Nigerian Cyber Army.
The group displayed a cartoon image of President Goodluck Jonathan and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari on the website’s homepage.
It did not say why it hacked the site.
The media adviser to the INEC chairman, Kayode Idowu, confirmed the incicent but said the website has been restored and that the hacking would not affect the coutcome of the lections.
