Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, has sacked two of his commissioners and redeployed his chief press secretary in a surprise cabinet reshuffle.

Messrs Lohsa Bako and Abdulhamid Gamzaki, who hitherto were supervising the ministries of youth development and transport respectively, were dropped in the exercise that saw an equally surprise redeployment of Yiljap Abraham from the Ministry of Information and Communications to Tourism and Culture.

In a statement by the Director of Press Affairs, James Mannok, in Jos, Abraham  was replaced with Olivia Daziem, who swapped the ministry of women affairs with Sarah Yusuf.

The former Commissioner for Tourism and culture, Sylvanus Dongtoe, is now the Commissioner for Environment, vacated by Yusuf.

James Yakubu, former commissioner for sports is the new commissioner  for youths development. Other commissioners retained their portfolios.

The biggest surprise of the exercise is Abraham from Qua’an Pan, who has been touted as a replacement for Jang in the Rayfield Government House in 2015.
