The Senate has finally confirmed the nomination of former governor of Rivers, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi’s confirmation was however not without the much expected crack in the upper legislative chambers.
Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party tagged a walk-out following the refusal of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to allow for the presentation and deliberation of the Ethics and Privileges committee’s report on the allegations against the former Rivers helmsman.
