Kidnappers of Lagos school girls reduce ransom to N10m as police closes in

Abductors of three Lagos State schoolgirls have reduced the ransom being demanded for their release to N10 million.

The abductors had initially demanded for N200 million for the girls who were kidnapped from their school on Monday evening at Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Our correspondent gathered that the abductors called one of the parents at about 2am on Thursday and insisted that they were willing to reduce the ransom to N10 million, as against the N1 million being pleaded by the distraught parent.

It was learnt further leant that the kidnappers even gave a specific location of where the ransom should be dropped.

Meanwhile, security sources confided in our correspondent on Thursday evening that the abductors have been tracked to Arepo area of Ogun State.

A combined team of security operatives who have been working on the case was said to have narrowed the whereabouts of the kidnapped schoolgirls to the creek in Arepo.

Aleppo has become notorious following the presence of pipeline vandals in the area in which several military personnels have been killed by the vandals in the last few years.
