Lagos HoS charges staff on hard work

Lagos State Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola has urged officers in the State Public Service to be determined and focused in discharging their duties just as she urged them to continue to strive hard to achieve success.

Ademola who spoke in Lagos on the occasion of the Officer of the Quarter Award of the Public Service Office held at the Conference Room of the Office, noted that the award was instituted in order to recognize and reward excellence and commitment on the part of staff of the Public Service Office.

“It is one of the many ways the Public Service Office seeks to motivate staff who have distinguished themselves excellently in the discharge of their duties. I am therefore delighted that we have instituted this Award to reward excellence, efficiency and diligence among staff of the Public Service Office,” the Head of Service averred.

She congratulated and commended the two awardees, Mrs. Oluyemisi Ogunyemi, a Chief Administrative and Human Resource Officer who won in the senior category and Mr. Adewole Agunbiade, an Office Attendant who won in the junior category for their positive contributions to the Public Service Office and urged them to continue to work hard.

Earlier in his address of welcome, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Fiyinfoluwa Ogunbanke noted that the awards were well deserved honour on the awardees adding that they selected having gone through a thorough screening process that was based on merit, dedication and commitment to duty amongst other criteria.

The Permanent Secretary who spoke through the Director, Administrative and Human Resource, Mr. T. A. Buraimoh urged the awardees to continue to put in their best at all times just as she asked other members of staff to emulate the awardees in order for them to win in future.

In response, the two awardees Mrs. Ogunyemi and Mr. Agunbiade thanked the Head of Service and the management for the honour and they both promised to continue to work hard and diligently.
