An accident involving a trailer with registration number LSD 379 XT occurred at 7up, adjacent Motorways bus stop, outward Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of Tuesday.

It was gathered that the trailer suddenly developed a mechanical fault and fell on the road trapping the driver and the motor boy.

The driver, Olatunji Akande, was rescued by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency alive and taken to the trauma centre for treatment while the motor boy, Lekan, was confirmed dead and the body handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit.
