You must return to school, Okorocha tells Imo youths

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo has advised youths in the state to embrace quality education to become professionals and relevant.

He gave the advice at the Government House, Owerri while interacting with some youths under the aegis of Ogboko General Youth Assembly.

Okorocha said that the Nigerian youth needed to update his knowledge and upgrade his academic qualifications to be able to tackle societal challenges.

“You must return to school and upgrade your qualifications so that you can be relevant,” he advised.

The governor warned the youths to desist from activities capable of destroying their careers.

He warned that youths caught in armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes would be decisively dealt with.

Okorocha reiterated the determination of his administration to develop communities in the state through good road network, expansion of markets, free education and improved security.

Earlier, the Secretary of the group, Chinedu Okwara, said that the youths were at the government house to show support for the administration.

He commended the state government for its free education policy, road construction and provision of employment opportunities for the youth.
