The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) and the Premium Times have concluded plans to jointly host a National Dialogue to create a platform to harmonise various ideologies from stakeholders on restructuring and federalism.

A statement by the Marketing Director of NAN, Biola Lawal on Thursday in Abuja, said the national dialogue would also expose the merits and demerits of restructuring and federalism to the nation.

He said the forum was expected to bring together stakeholders from various tiers of government and industries leadership to put together their recommendations on way forward for the nation.

He said there would be panel discussions and interaction with the audience to engage government actors, political party representatives, social influencers, intellectuals, civil society organisations, and the media, among others.

He said the forum, which was originally scheduled to hold from April 24 to April 25, had been postponed to July 12 due to circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.

Lawal, however, confirmed that all other details remained unchanged as contained in the earlier partnership and sponsorship letters sent to potential participants in the conference.

“While regretting the inconveniences associated with the postponement, the organisers are dispatching new letters to all concerned to explain the new changes in detail,” he said.

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is expected to declare the conference open.
