Niger State deputy governor Ahmed Musa Ibeto has defected from the People’s Democratic Party (APC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), sources close to the Niger State Government said.
Ibeto contested and lost the PDP governorship primaries in Niger State . It is believed he fell out with the state governor Babangida Aliyu because he did not support him during the primaries. The primaries was won by Ahmed Nsako believed to be the Niger State governor’s candidate.
Ibeto will be formally received into the APC by the party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari who is in Niger State to campaign.
