Nigeria @ 55: Senator Gwarzo calls for patriotism

The former Senate Chief Whip, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo has charged Nigerians to use the occasion of the nation’s 55th Independence Anniversary to rekindle the spirit of patriotism.

Senator Gwarzo also congratulated the citizenry for the independence and urged Nigerians to continue respecting leaders at all levels.

In a press statement by his Media Assistant, Ibrahim Garba and made available to journalists in Kano on Wednasday, Senator Gwarzo stated that “we have to appreciate our founding fathers who struggle for the country’s independence”.

“Unity and patriotism is one of our paramount and we must appreciate that the country’s independenc is now 55 years”.

Gwarzo also showered encomiums on the Nigerian Armed Forces for their relentless efforts to keep the nation one .

He enjoined Nigerians to countinue living in peace with one another, stating that the unity of the country is a pride to all.
