Obaseki nominates Iyase as commissioner, appoints Omorodion, Special Adviser

Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo, has nominated Benjamin Iyase as a commissioner in the state and a member of the state Executive Council.

Osarodion Ogie, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Benin, said the governor has also appointed Dr Ikponmwosa Omorodion as his Special Adviser on Technical Education.

He said the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Frank Okiye, and other lawmakers have been notified of the new appointment.

“Obaseki, has approved the nomination of Benjamin Iyase to serve as a commissioner in his cabinet. His name has been forwarded for consideration and confirmation by the House of Assembly,” he said.

It will be recalled that the Obaseki has recently reshuffled his cabinet leading to the appointment of new hands to head different ministries in the state.
