Obi mourns General Alexander Madiebo

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 Presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the death of former Chief of Staff of the defunct Biafran Army, General Alexander Madiebo.

In his condolence message on Saturday, June 4, 2022, to the Madiebo family, the Igbo people, and Nigeria in general, Obi stated that the late General was a Nigerian in good standing, and a principled and gallant soldier.

Obi described General Madiebo’s death as a huge loss to his family, the Igbo nation, and to the entire country, who saw him as a symbol of wisdom, courage, and strength. He noted that his good legacies left behind will continue to be appreciated by generations to come.

He prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest, and grant all who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.
