The insurance mogul, whose health had deteriorated in the past years, was first rumored to be bed-ridden in 2013 but the report was desperately denied by his media aides.

“As I talk to you, the man is on the throes of death. He has emancipated so badly that you will barely recognize him any longer,” said an inside source who had pleaded anonymity at the time.

Just as his health status had for years remained a matter of speculations, his death on Saturday was also concealed till the cat was finally let out of the bag by persons close to the family.

As at the time of filing this report, no official confirmation has been mad either by the family or the company.
