Oyo to partner Finland on health, education, agric

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has restated his administration readiness to partner Finland on health care delivery, education, agriculture and human capital development.

The governor stated this on Thursday while receiving the Finland Ambassador to Nigeria, Pirjo Suomela Chowdhury who paid him a courtesy call in his office.

Governor Ajimobi who described education as the foundation for the development of any nation said his administration would continue to invest more in education being the largest industry in the State.

The Governor while calling on Finland to support his administration in its effort to transform the education and agricultural sectors as well as commerce in the State, stressed the need for Finland to support his administration in transforming the sectors.

The State Chief Executive lauded Finland for peace and security in the country adding that it has continued to encourage relationship with other countries in promoting democracy, peace and security.

Earlier in her remarks, the Finland Ambassador Suomela Chowdhury said her country had embarked on a pilot project on health and education development initiative, adding that it would also promote business and economic relations with Oyo State.
