PDP, APC lose House of Reps members

The two leading parties in the country, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday lost 5 members of the house of Representatives each.

While APC received four new members after losing five, PDP did not gain any.

Four members defected from PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC. They included Isau Mohammed ( Adamawa) Ibrahim El Sudi, (Taraba,) Jagaba Adams, (kaduna) Herman Hembe ( Benue).

A female member from Adamawa, Aisha Ahmed Dahiru moved to the People’s Democratic Movement, (PDM) after dumping the PDP.

Five lawmakers from Ogun State moved from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
They are Babatunde Ogunola ( Ado-odo/Ota), Adekunle Adeyemi ( Ifo Ewekoro), Olumide Osoba (Abeokuta North/ Obafemi- Owode/Odeda), Abiodun Abudu-Balogun (Ogun Waterside/Ijebu North /East) and Taofik Buraimoh ( Remo Federal Constituency).

Speaker Aminu Tambuwal announced the names of the defected house members during Tuesday’s plenary.
