The Peoples Democratic Party Rivers State chapter says it is dissatisfied with interim order by an Ahoada High Court presided over by Hon. Justice C. N. Wali, restraining member representing Ogu/Bolo in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi from parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The Party describes the order as a gimmick and premeditated judgment coming from Governor Amaechi’s judicial stooge, who has records of perverting justice in favour of the Governor.
The PDP believes that due legal process was not followed in the determination of the matter, as a case that was instituted at the Ahoada High Court Registry on Friday, December 13 will on Monday, December 15, 2013 be discharged in favour of the claimants, noting that it is only aware of the ruling through the mass media but yet to receive the Court Order.
The Party says it will respond to the ruling appropriately after studying the details of the Court Order, but emphasizes that the ruling does not in any way represent an outcome of a due judicial process, and is therefore bound not to be effective.
The party condemns Justice Wali’s propensity of giving orders in favour of Governor Amaechi without recourse to the rule of law and due process, and hinted that it would drag Justice Wali before the National Judicial Council (NJC) Disciplinary Committee on reckless interim orders.
