Prof. Lai Oso

A former lecturer in the department of Mass Communication and Deputy Rector of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta (MAPOLY), Ogun State, Professor Olayiwola Oso is 60.

Prof. Oso, currently, Dean, School of Communication, Lagos State University, LASU, attended the University of Lagos and University of Ife, where he bagged B.Sc Mass Communication and M.Sc International Relations respectively.

He also holds a PhD degree from the Leicester University, U.K and was also former Dean of Students Affairs, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos.

Oso who is generally acknowledged as one the most widely published communication researchers in Nigeria, in 2012 delivered the 47th in the series of Inaugural Lectures of LASU, thus becoming the third Professors in the university’s School of Communication to deliver the inaugural lectures.

Prof. Oso is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, African Council of Communication Education, International Association for Communication Research and Lagos Communication Forum.

His 60th birthday celebration holds on Friday, October 9, at the Lagos Television, LTV Combo Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
