Rainy weather expected in many parts of Saudi Arabia starting Thursday

Heavy rainfall, as seen in Mahayel, Asir, starting Thursday evening and lasting until Monday, is forecast for much of the country

Thundershowers from medium to heavy are expected on the heights in Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, to extend to the heights of Makkah, and its eastern parts, as well as Riyadh and Qasim.

Prior to rains, surface winds are expected to stir dust and sand, limiting horizontal visibility.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection predicts the weather to be rainy starting Thursday evening and is expected to last until Monday.
