{"id":144080,"date":"2023-03-25T15:58:42","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T14:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/?p=144080"},"modified":"2023-03-25T15:58:42","modified_gmt":"2023-03-25T14:58:42","slug":"beware-of-fake-nddc-support-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/beware-of-fake-nddc-support-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Beware of fake NDDC support fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has noted with concern the frequent use of its name and logo by scammers using dubious websites and social media accounts to defraud members of the public.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;We wish to alert our stakeholders and those who want to benefit from our programmes that NDDC is not in any way involved in a so-called \u201c\u20a6100,000 Household Grant to Support SMEs by Granting Financial Assistance to all Nigerian Citizens and Businesses.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The fraudulent Household Grant Application 2023, also tagged Niger Delta Development Commission Support Fund is a scam.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The perpetrators of this criminal act have set up a website inviting \u201cInterested individuals and businesses to apply through an Application Form Portal 20:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/nddc-sme-grant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/bit.ly\/nddc-sme-grant&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1679842214720000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1edqghtaMTGOzqZ7E0KLB_\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/nddc-sme-<wbr \/>grant<\/a>\u00a02023.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;We urge everyone to be wary to avoid falling victim to this fraudulent activity by some dubious individuals who impersonate the NDDC.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">NDDC has on many occasions cautioned members of the public that dubious persons are using the name and logo of the Commission to defraud innocent people.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;We advise those who have genuine businesses with it to always confirm their information at the Commission\u2019s official website: (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nddc.gov.ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.nddc.gov.ng&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1679842214720000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2ndhDRnKI3YN_c9ACJ11jr\">www.nddc.gov.ng<\/a>) and other social media handles.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Anyone claiming to represent the NDDC or its Management in fraudulent financial grants must be treated as a criminal and reported to security agencies for appropriate sanctions. &#8220;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has noted with concern the frequent use of its name and logo by scammers using dubious websites and social media accounts to defraud members of the public. &#8220;We wish to alert our stakeholders and those who want to benefit from our programmes that NDDC is not in any way [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":144081,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[4270],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.6 -
