{"id":167516,"date":"2023-12-05T01:45:48","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T00:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/?p=167516"},"modified":"2023-12-05T01:45:48","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T00:45:48","slug":"expelled-party-members-trying-to-disparage-abba-yusuf-kwankwaso-nnpp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/expelled-party-members-trying-to-disparage-abba-yusuf-kwankwaso-nnpp\/","title":{"rendered":"Expelled party members trying to disparage Abba Yusuf, Kwankwaso &#8211; NNPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"caps\"><strong>The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says some expelled members of the party are trying to spread false narratives against Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ladipo Johnson, a member of the NNPP national working committe (NWC), in a statement on Monday alleged that some expelled members led by Tope Aluko are spreading the narrative that Yusuf was not a member of the party when he contested the election while Kwankwaso has been evicted.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson noted that the allegations are \u201ctotally false and inaccurate\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has come to our notice that certain expelled members of the NNPP which include Tope Aluko and some ex state chairmen, who are sponsored elements, are conducting a press conference in Jabi, Abuja to falsely state as a form of propaganda, that H.E. Abba Kabir Yusuf was not a member of the NNPP as at the time of the election and that His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso is dismissed from the party,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese allegations are totally false and inaccurate. We state that the Kano State Governor was a bona fide member of the NNPP at all material times and that we have confidence in the Supreme Court of Nigeria that justice will be done.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe remind the general populace that Chief Boniface Aniebonam, one of the founders of the NNPP, recently spoke out in favor of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and asked that his election be upheld.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore it is a mystery that some of his loyalists would stoop so low as to become hired hands to misinform Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn conclusion we urge that Nigerians ignore the false statements by these enemies of the Nigerian electorate.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says some expelled members of the party are trying to spread false narratives against Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.
