{"id":2437,"date":"2013-12-18T18:00:52","date_gmt":"2013-12-18T17:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/new\/?p=2437"},"modified":"2013-12-18T18:00:52","modified_gmt":"2013-12-18T17:00:52","slug":"delta-earns-n205bn-revenue-in-nine-months-uduaghan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/delta-earns-n205bn-revenue-in-nine-months-uduaghan\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta earns N205bn revenue in nine months &#8211; Uduaghan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta has said that the state generated N205 billion revenue between January and September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Uduaghan who made the disclosure when he presented the 2014 budget to the House of Assembly, said the figure represented an overall performance of 57.9 per cent over expected proportionate receipt of N354 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said that out of the amount generated, N154. 23 billion was received as statutory allocation from the Federation Account, the amount he said represented 103.5 per cent performance of the proportionate estimate of N148.8 billion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On the other hand, the sum of N7.3 billion was recorded as receipts from Value Added Tax (VAT) out of the projected receipts of N8.5 billion, representing a budget performance of 63.9 per cent,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>Uduaghan said the N38.7 billion was generated as Internally Generated Revenue out of the projected revenue of N46 billion, representing a budget performance of 84 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>He said that N5 billion was received from other capital revenues as against the proportionate budget of N150 billion during the period.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said all the revenue receipts represented an aggregate increase of eight per cent over N190 billion recorded for the corresponding period of January to September 2012.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, statutory allocation has a significant increase of N16.3 billion over N137.8 billion recorded for the same period in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>On expenditure, Uduaghan said N197.2 billion was spent during the period.<\/p>\n<p>He said of the amount N118.8 billion was spent on recurrent items as against a proportionate approved budget of N117.3 billion, representing a budget performance of 101 per cent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta has said that the state generated N205 billion revenue between January and September 2013.
