Consistent with FirstBank\u2019s thought leadership stance, the bank\u2019s GMD\/CEO, Bisi Onasanya will be participating in the C-suite panel on \u201dThe Nigerian Banking Environment in a Low Oil Price World\u201d at the maiden edition of The Nigerian Stock Exchange\/Bloomberg CEO Roundtable scheduled to hold at The Event Centre of the NSE Thursday, June 25, 2015.<\/p>\n

The event will convene African captains of industry and key influencers to share in-depth knowledge about their sectors with key players in the capital market, with the aim of improving investment in capital markets in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Other panelists on this session are: Paul Wallace, Senior Industry Expert, Bloomberg L.P; Herbert Wigwe, Chief Executive Officer, Access Bank Plc; and Peter Amangbo, Chief Executive Officer, Zenith Bank Plc.<\/p>\n

Onasanya said that the bank would continue to support initiatives that will create opportunities for the advancement of the Nigerian capital market. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to drive the discourse on development of our equities market to place Nigeria on the same pedestal with industrialized economies\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

A second panel session is expected to hold at the event with focus on The New OPEC Strategy: Implications for African member nations. <\/p>\n

This session will be morderated by Yinka Ibukun, Bloomberg News Analyst, Lagos, Nigeria and has Philipp Chladek, Senior Oil Industry Analyst, Bloomberg Intelligence; Adewale Tinubu, Group Chief Executive, Oando Plc; Adetunji A. Oyebanji, Chairman\/Managing Director, Mobil Oil Plc; and Alexis Vovk, Managing Director, Total Nigeria Plc as panel discussants<\/p>\n
