The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Sunday announced the arrest of a man who confessed that three of his children are \u201carrow heads\u201d of the Boko Haram sect.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim Abdullahi, commandant of the NSCDC in Borno, disclosed this to NAN in an interview, saying the man who is also a kingpin of the sect was apprehended in Askira Uba local government area of Borno state on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur men have made remarkable progress by arresting a Boko Haram kingpin,\u201d Abdullahi said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe notorious kingpin was said to be a recruiter as well as supplier of arms and IEDs to Boko Haram terrorists.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe confessed that his three children were also arrow heads of the Boko Haram sect.\u201d<\/p>\n
The commandant said the suspect had been handed over to the army for further investigation.<\/p>\n
Security agencies have to a large extent succeeded in bringing insurgency under control.<\/p>\n
