President John Dramani Mahama has conceded defeat in the elections. He has consequently called Nana Akufo-Addo and congratulated him.<\/p>\n
Eugene Arhin, Press Secretary to Nana Addo who confirmed this to media men in Nana Addo’s residence said the two men had fruitful discussions on the telephone for about five minutes.<\/p>\n
President Mahama was said to have pledged to support the New Patriotic Party government. Nana Addo is expected to speak to supporters who have gathered in his house.<\/p>\n
Though the official announcement is still being expected, two influential private radio stations had said on Friday that Ghana’s main opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo, has won the West African country’s presidential election with an absolute majority over President John Mahama.<\/p>\n
