{"id":73791,"date":"2017-11-09T06:40:23","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T05:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/?p=73791"},"modified":"2017-11-09T06:40:23","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T05:40:23","slug":"nigerian-awards-sporting-excellence-holds-dec-2-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/nigerian-awards-sporting-excellence-holds-dec-2-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian Awards for Sporting Excellence holds Dec. 2 in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Awards for Sporting Excellence (NASE) has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Airport Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday and signed by Prince Isidore Oduah, Chairman of the Award Committee, explained that the awards is designed to reward sportsmen and women of Nigerian descent or based in Nigeria, who excel in any given year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea is to motivate such outstanding sportsmen and women to do even better, and to inspire others to work harder to excel \u2013 thus contributing to the rapid development of Nigerian sports,\u201d Prince Oduah, a former Executive Committee Member of the Nigeria Football Association (now known as NFF), said.<\/p>\n<p>The Award Committee Chairman disclosed that NASE would hold annually and would equally honour excelling sports administrators as well as corporate bodies contributing significantly to the development and growth of Nigerian sports.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Oduah noted that the Nigerian Awards for Sporting Excellence, a brainchild of Nigeria\u2019s pioneer all-sport online daily newspaper, Daily Sports (dailysportsng.com), \u201chas been enthusiastically embraced by critical stakeholders of the Nigerian sporting community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNominees for the maiden awards, as well as some of the dignitaries expected to grace the award ceremony on December 2 would be unveiled in due course,\u201d the Award Committee Chairman stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Awards for Sporting Excellence (NASE) has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Airport Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
