{"id":88663,"date":"2018-08-08T21:32:10","date_gmt":"2018-08-08T20:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/?p=88663"},"modified":"2018-08-08T21:32:10","modified_gmt":"2018-08-08T20:32:10","slug":"some-lawmakers-plotting-to-impeach-buhari-says-tinubu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmail-ng.com\/some-lawmakers-plotting-to-impeach-buhari-says-tinubu\/","title":{"rendered":"Some lawmakers plotting to impeach Buhari, says Tinubu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has alleged that some members of the national assembly are plotting to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, asked the unnamed lawmakers to drop their plan because it is \u201cnot possible for a lizard to wrestle an antelope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu spoke on Wednesday at an APC rally organised in Akwa Ibom to welcome Godswill Akpabio, former governor of the state, into the party.<\/p>\n<p>He described Nigeria\u2019s current situation as \u201ca war between progressives and the conservatives\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe in government of the people, for the people and by the people but the conservatives believe in government of sharing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe say Nigerian money belongs to Nigerians. We say Nigerians must be given development. We believe in investing in the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut they believe in sharing and looting the money. Today we are aspiring in our vision, but the PDP has no vision. They believe in sharing and looting the treasury.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He also accused the PDP of failing Nigerians despite having 16 years at its disposal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, Buhari says we must change; we must account for Nigeria\u2019s money but they are resisting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu also expressed happiness that Akwa Ibom \u201chas embraced the change agenda\u201d of the current administration.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cWith the present posture of the state, the APC shall sweep the evil out with the broom.
