Sixteen vessels laden with petroleum products are waiting to berth and discharge at the various oil terminals in Lagos ports.
This is contained in the `Shipping Position‚Äô ‚Äì a daily report made available to newsmen on Monday in Lagos by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The report said that 12 of the vessels were laden with petrol, two, with aviation fuel; while others contain kerosene and diesel.
It said that three vessels waiting to berth¬†at the Tin-Can Island Container Terminal and Five Star Logistics Terminal were carrying containers and used vehicles.
The reports said that 71 vessels were being expected at the ports from Sept. 23 to Oct.15.
It said that 32 of the vessels would sail in with containers, while three others would arrive with general cargoes and used vehicles.
According to the report, six of the expected vessels will sail in with petroleum products, while 14 others will arrive with bulk wheat, maize, salt, frozen fish and sugar.
It said that five other vessels would arrive in the ports with vehicles and others with ethanol and fertiliser.
