With less than three days to the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, the national leadership of the party Wednesday announced the postponement of the primaries to Tuesday next week.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Comrade Timi Frank, in statement in Abuja, said the postponement was a directive from the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Senator Osita Izunaso had earlier Wednesday inaugurated the seven-man committee that would conduct the primaries.
Frank, in his statement said: “the exercise earlier fixed for Saturday September 19, 2015 will now take place on Tuesday September 22, 2015″.
He, however, said that the time and the venue for the programme remain unchanged.
